The Star Inn, Cotton
The Star Inn is a family owned and family run pub and restaurant. The current owners purchased the pub in January 2016 and are relatives of a local family who owned the Star from the early 1900’s until 1973. The building has recently undergone many improvements both internally and externally.
The Star Inn has an interesting history dating back to the early 1600’s. Situated in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands the building has been at the heart of village life in the hamlet of Cotton for many hundreds of years. It has been a coach house, a grocers and even a courthouse. Many of these original features can still be seen in the building today, including metal bars on one of the windows where there was once a holding cell for the courthouse.
The Staffordshire Moorlands boasts wonderful scenery and superb walking trails. We’re also just 5 miles from the Peak District and The National Park. For the thrill seekers, Alton Towers is only 1 mile away.
We have a good selection of local real ales, homemade food, large garden and, for when the weather is typically British, we have roaring log burners!
